Light’s, Camera, Action!
The TV Camera’s were rolling in Cleckheaton when the film crew of American TV show ‘My Big Redneck Vacation’ hit town.The reason for their visit? To film specialist glamour and evening wear shop ‘After Dark’ owned by vivacious local business woman Dianne Fox.
The show, produced by Louisiana based company ‘Pink Sneaker Productions’, searched the web looking for evening wear companies in the UK capable of helping. They where so impressed by After Dark’s website, showing them to be one of the few specialist companies who stock a range of prom and evening wear ranging from size 4 to size 30, that they picked us as the ideal location for the girls to get their outfits.
The show, a hit in the USA features a group of Louisiana Rednecks who are spending their holidays in the UK. Whilst over here they miss the senior prom for one of their girls so decide to hold a prom whilst they are here. The two teenage girls in the show along with their mothers visited After Dark and under the expert guidance of Dianne selected dresses for their prom due to be held the following day at a location near Skipton.
Dianne said: “This was an amazing day in May, the film crew and girls descended on my shop, there were light’s and camera’s everywhere, but everyone had a fantastic time and the girls received a real ‘After Dark’ makeover. I’ve been in this business a long time and it’s my aim to ensure every woman who walks through my door attends her event looking a million dollars. The programme has already aired on American TV and has been approved for future release in the UK. It really was an amazing experience to be involved in and has put Cleckheaton on the map”.
